日本語にっぽんご教師きょうしのシュンです。I'm Shun, a Japanese teacher.

皆みなさん今日きょうはどんな一日いちにちでしたか？How was your day today?

皆みなさんの週末しゅうまつはどうでしたか？How was your weekend?

いや本当ほんとうに最近さいきんはずっと一人ひとりで旅行りょこうしていましたよ。No, really, I've been traveling alone all this time.

ずっと一人旅ひとりたびをしていました。I've been on a solo trip all along.

本当ほんとうに最高さいこうの思おもい出でを作つくることができましたね。I was really able to make the best memories.

久ひさしぶりに一人旅ひとりたびをして良よかったですね。It was great to take a solo trip after a long time.

今いまは日本にほんにいますけど。I'm in Japan now, though.

旅行りょこうって本当ほんとうにいいですよね。Traveling is really wonderful, isn't it.

もちろん旅行りょこうをしている時ときも楽たのしいです。Of course, it's fun while you're traveling.

たくさんの世界中せかいじゅうの友達ともだちを作つくることができます。You can make many friends from all over the world.

でも旅行りょこうは旅行りょこうの後あとも楽たのしむことができますよね。But you can enjoy travel even after the trip, right?

皆みなさんはどうですか？How about you all?

旅行りょこうの後あと、頭あたまの中なかに思おもい出でが残のこりますよね。After a trip, memories stay in your mind, right?

旅行りょこうの後あとはいつも好すきな時ときにAfter a trip, whenever you like

楽たのしい旅行りょこうの思おもい出でを思おもい出だしていつでも楽たのしむことができます。you can recall fun travel memories and enjoy them anytime.

私わたしは。I...

あの旅行りょこうの後あとで思おもい出でについて考かんがえるのが大好だいすきです。I love thinking about the memories after that trip.

いや、今回こんかいもすごい旅行りょこうでしたね。No, this time was an amazing trip too.

え、Um,

たくさん行いったことがない場所ばしょに行いったし、本当ほんとうに仲なかがいい友達ともだちも作つくることができたし、I went to many places I've never been to, and I was able to make really close friends,

最高さいこうの思おもい出でを作つくることができましたね。I was able to make the best memories.

え、今回こんかいは一人旅ひとりたびをしました。Well, this time I traveled alone.

一人旅ひとりたびは私わたしが一番いちばん好すきな旅行りょこうのスタイルかもしれません。Solo travel might be my favorite style of travel.

まあいろいろな種類しゅるいの旅行りょこうが好すきですよ。Well, I like many kinds of travel.

家族かぞくや妻つまと旅行りょこうに行いくのはもちろん楽たのしいです。Of course it's fun to travel with family or my wife.

この時間じかんは本当ほんとうに幸しあわせを感かんじることができます。I can really feel happiness during that time.

でも本当ほんとうにアドベンチャーの旅行りょこうがしたかったら一人旅ひとりたびが一番いちばんいいと思おもいますね。But if you really want an adventure trip, I think solo travel is the best.

まず一人ひとりで旅行りょこうに行いくとFirst, when you travel alone

全部ぜんぶ自分じぶんの好すきなスタイルで旅行りょこうを決きめることができます。you can decide everything in your own favorite style.

私わたしはいつもあまり予定よていを決きめないで旅行りょこうをするのが好すきなので、もうその場所ばしょで。I always like to travel without making too many plans, so right there in that place,

どこに行いくかを決きめます。I decide where to go.

あまり行いく前まえにその場所ばしょを調しらべすぎません。I don't research the place too much before going.

知しらない方ほうがワクワクしますからね。Because it's more exciting when you don't know.

あと一人旅ひとりたびをすると本当ほんとうに新あたらしい人ひとに会あいやすくなります。Also, when you travel alone, it really becomes easier to meet new people.

ホステルやツアー、レストランやバスの中なかでいろいろな旅人たびびとといつも会あいます。In hostels, tours, restaurants, and on buses, I always meet various travelers.

もちろんいつもその人ひとと本当ほんとうに仲なかが良よくなりませんよ。Of course, I don't always become really close with them.

でも仲なかがいい友達ともだちも作つくることができます。But you can make good friends too.

私わたしはこの友達ともだちは。I think these friends are...

本当ほんとうに人生じんせいの中なかで大切たいせつなことだと思おもっています。truly important in life.

特とくに日常生活にちじょうせいかつで新あたらしい友達ともだちを作つくるのは難むずかしいから、Especially since it's hard to make new friends in daily life,

一人旅ひとりたびをするとたくさんこの大切たいせつな友達ともだちを作つくることができるので、when you travel alone you can make many of these precious friends, so

もうこれだけで一人旅ひとりたびの価値かちがあると思おもいます。just for that alone, I think solo travel is worth it.

もちろん一人旅ひとりたびをすると大変たいへんな時ときもあります。Of course, there are tough times when traveling alone.

一人ひとりで旅行りょこうしますから時々ときどき寂さびしい気持きもちにもなりますよ。Since you travel alone, you sometimes feel lonely too.

特とくに一人ひとりで昼ひるご飯はんや晩ばんご飯はんを食たべていて。Especially when I'm eating lunch or dinner alone.

楽たのしそうなグループやカップルの人ひとを見みると、When I see happy-looking groups or couples,

家族かぞくや妻つまや友達ともだちが恋こいしくなりますね。I miss my family, my wife, and my friends.

まあ今回こんかいの旅行りょこうではほとんど一人ひとりでご飯はんを食たべませんでしたね。Well, on this trip I hardly ate alone.

うん、本当ほんとうにたくさんの人ひとに会あったのでいい時間じかんを過すごすことができましたよ。Yeah, I met so many people that I had a great time.

でも寂さびしくなる時ときももちろんありますね。But of course there are times when I feel lonely.

あと一人旅ひとりたびをすると本当ほんとうにたくさんの人ひとに会あいます。Also, when you travel solo you really meet a lot of people.

まあ時々ときどき本当ほんとうに仲なかが良よくなりますが、綺麗きれいな景色けしきを見みているとき、Well, sometimes I become really close with them, but when I'm looking at a beautiful view,

私わたしの妻つまと。With my wife.

一緒いっしょにこの時間じかんを共有きょうゆうしたかったなと思おもいます。I think I wish I could have shared this time together.

一人ひとりでいい経験けいけんをするより大切たいせつな人ひとといい経験けいけんをした方ほうがHaving a good experience with someone important is better than having a good experience alone,

もっと幸しあわせな気持きもちになりますよね。It makes you feel happier, right?

まあ一人旅ひとりたびにはいいことと悪わるいこと両方りょうほうあると思おもいますよ。Well, I think solo travel has both good and bad sides.

私わたしはいろいろな種類しゅるいの旅行りょこうをします。I do all kinds of travel.

泊とまる場所ばしょもホステル、ホテル、リゾート、エアビービーいろいろな場所ばしょに泊とまります。For places to stay, I stay in all kinds of places: hostels, hotels, resorts, Airbnbs.

でも私わたしの旅行りょこうの目的もくてきによってそれも変かえますね。But I change that depending on the purpose of my trip.

一人旅ひとりたびなら、九十きゅうじゅうパーセントはホステルに泊とまりますね。If it's a solo trip, I stay in hostels ninety percent of the time.

本当ほんとうにどんな旅行りょこうをしたいかによると思おもいます。I think it really depends on what kind of trip you want to take.

でもアドベンチャーをしたい、もっと世界中せかいじゅうの新あたらしい友達ともだちを作つくりたい、But if you want adventure, want to make more new friends from around the world,

もっと自由じゆうな旅行りょこうをしたい、want to travel more freely,

こう思おもっている人ひとは一人旅ひとりたびはおすすめですね。If you think like that, I recommend solo travel.

一人旅ひとりたびをすると友達ともだちに言ゆうと、いつもへえ、すごいと言いわれます。When I tell my friends I'm traveling solo, they always say, "Wow, that's amazing."
