My Work Mistakes | Beginner Japanese Comprehensible Input (CI)

お仕事しごとは何なにをされてますか？What do you do for work?

仕事しごとで何なにか失敗しっぱいしたことはありますか？Have you ever failed at work?

失敗しっぱい。Failure.

ミスしたことはありますか？Have you ever made a mistake?

私わたしはいっぱいあります。I have plenty.

何度なんどもあります。Many times.

今日きょうは私わたしの仕事しごとの失敗しっぱいについて話はなします。Today I'll talk about my work mistakes.

私わたしは日本語にっぽんごの動画どうがを作つくっています。I make Japanese videos.

動画どうがを撮影さつえいして、編集へんしゅうして、スクリプトを作つくります。I film videos, edit them, and make scripts.

これが私わたしの仕事しごとです。This is my job.

動画どうがを作つくるとき、いろんな失敗しっぱいをします。When I make videos, I make all kinds of mistakes.

例たとえば、動画どうがを撮とるとき、カメラの録画ろくがボタンを押おしますよね。For example, when filming a video, you press the camera's record button, right?

録画ろくがボタンを押おします。I press the record button.

録画ろくがボタンを押おしたら、録画ろくががスタートします。When you press the record button, recording starts.

動画どうがが撮影さつえいできます。You can film the video.

でもたまに、録画ろくがボタンを押おすのを忘わすれることがあります。But sometimes, I forget to press the record button.

録画ろくがボタンを押おし忘わすれることがあります。I sometimes forget to press the record button.

録画ろくがボタンを押おさなかったら、録画ろくがされませんね。If you don't press the record button, it won't record.

録画ろくがされてないのに、１時間いちじかんぐらい喋しゃべっていたことがあります。There was a time I talked for about an hour without anything being recorded.

「よし、終おわった。"Okay, done.

停止ていしボタンを押おそう」と思おもって、カメラを見みたら、録画ろくがされてませんでした。When I thought "let me press the stop button" and looked at the camera, it hadn't been recording.

ショックでした。I was shocked.

ゲーム動画どうがを撮とるときに、録画ろくがボタンを押おし忘わすれたこともあります。I've also forgotten to press the record button when filming a gaming video.

ゲームを１時間いちじかんくらいして、セーブした後あとに気きづきました。I played the game for about an hour, and noticed after saving.

あ、録画ろくができてない。Oh, it didn't record.

ショックでしたね。That was shocking.

そのゲームは、もう１回いっかいはじめからやり直なおしました。I redid that game from the beginning again.

それからマイク。And then the mic.

ここに電源でんげんがあります。The power is here.

マイクの電源でんげんをオンにするのを忘わすれる時ときもあります。Sometimes I forget to turn on the mic's power.

オンにし忘わすれて、マイクがオフのまま、ずーっと喋しゃべっていたこともあります。I've talked on and on with the mic left off, forgetting to turn it on.

これもマイクです。This is also a mic.

このマイクは、コードでパソコンとつなぎます。This mic connects to the computer with a cable.

ここにコードを挿さして、パソコンとつなぎます。I plug the cable in here and connect it to the computer.

それで録音ろくおんします。And then I record.

でも、コードが抜ぬけていたこともあります。But there was also a time the cable was unplugged.

コードが抜ぬけたまま、気きづかずに喋しゃべっていたこともあります。There was a time I talked without noticing the cable was unplugged.

録音ろくおんできていませんでした。It hadn't recorded.

ショックでした。I was shocked.

あと、もっとひどいミスをしたこともあります。Also, I've made an even worse mistake.

撮影さつえいした動画どうがを消けしてしまったんです。I deleted a video I had filmed.

なんでかわかんないけど、間違まちがえて消けしてしまいました。I don't know why, but I accidentally deleted it.

「よし、この前まえ撮影さつえいしたあの動画どうが、"Okay, let me edit that video I filmed the other day,"

編集へんしゅうしよう」と思おもったら、動画どうががありません。I thought, but the video was gone.

デスクトップにもありません。It wasn't on the desktop either.

ゴミ箱ばこにもありません。It wasn't in the trash either.

どこにもありません。It wasn't anywhere.

その動画どうがはもう１回いっかい撮とり直なおしました。I re-filmed that video again.

いろんな失敗しっぱいがありますね。There are all kinds of mistakes.

最後さいごにもう１個いっこ、私わたしが昨日きのうした失敗しっぱいです。One last thing, a mistake I made yesterday.

これはちょっと恥はずかしい失敗しっぱいです。This is a bit of an embarrassing mistake.

でも、面白おもしろい失敗しっぱいです。But it's a funny mistake.

昨日きのう、私わたしはカフェで仕事しごとをしていました。Yesterday, I was working at a cafe.

動画どうがの台本だいほんを作つくっていました。I was making a script for a video.

動画どうがを撮とる前まえに、話はなすことを考かんがえて、台本だいほんを作つくります。Before filming a video, I think about what to say and make a script.

台本だいほんを作つくってました。I was making the script.

それから画像がぞうをダウンロードしていました。And then I was downloading images.

画像がぞうです。Images.

私わたしは動画どうがによく画像がぞうを使つかいます。I often use images in my videos.

たくさん画像がぞうを使つかいます。I use a lot of images.

カフェで、動画どうがに使つかう画像がぞうをダウンロードしてました。At the cafe, I was downloading images to use in a video.

パソコンでダウンロードして、パソコンからiPadに送おくっていました。I was downloading them on my computer and sending them from my computer to my iPad.

皆みなさん、画像がぞうを送おくるとき、何なにを使つかいますか？Everyone, what do you use when you send images?

どうやって送おくりますか？How do you send them?

私わたしは、スマホもタブレットもパソコンも、全部ぜんぶアップルです。My phone, tablet, and computer are all Apple.

だから、よくエアドロップを使つかいます。So I often use AirDrop.

エアドロップ。AirDrop.

略りゃくしてエアドロとも言いいます。For short, we also say Airdrop.

エアドロップで、パソコンからiPadに画像がぞうを送おくっていました。With AirDrop, I was sending images from my computer to my iPad.

パソコンでエアドロップを押おして、自分じぶんのiPadを選えらびます。On the computer I press AirDrop and select my own iPad.

でも、その時とき、私わたしは間違まちがえて、But at that time, by mistake,

他ほかの人ひとのパソコンを選えらんでしまったんです。I selected someone else's computer.

そのカフェにいた、全然ぜんぜん知しらない人ひとです。A complete stranger who was in that cafe.

私わたしの家族かぞくじゃありません。Not my family.

友達ともだちじゃありません。Not a friend.

知しらない人ひと。A stranger.

間違まちがえて、知しらない人ひとにBy mistake, to a stranger,

動画どうがで使つかう画像がぞうを送おくってしまったんです。I sent the images to use in the video.

しかも、その画像がぞう、何なんの画像がぞうだったと思おもいますか？And moreover, what do you think that image was?

私わたしがその知しらない人ひとに送おくってしまった画像がぞうは、この画像がぞうでした。The image I sent to that stranger was this image.

この人ひと、This person,

知しってますか？Do you know him?

天皇陛下てんのうへいかです。He is His Majesty the Emperor.

今いまの日本にほんの天皇陛下てんのうへいかです。He is the current Emperor of Japan.

私わたしは動画どうがで使つかうために、この天皇陛下てんのうへいかの画像がぞうをFor use in my video, this image of His Majesty the Emperor,

ダウンロードしました。I downloaded it.

パソコンから自分じぶんのiPadに送おくるつもりでした。I was going to send it from my computer to my own iPad.

でも、間違まちがえて、知しらない人ひとのパソコンに送おくってしまったんです。But by mistake, I sent it to a stranger's computer.

カフェで作業さぎょうしてたら、If you're working at a cafe,

突然とつぜん、suddenly,

知しらない人ひとから天皇陛下てんのうへいかの画像がぞうが送おくられてきたら、if an image of His Majesty the Emperor is sent from a stranger,

びっくりしますよね。It's surprising, isn't it?

怖こわいですよね。It's scary, isn't it?

多分たぶん、その人ひとはすごくびっくりしたと思おもいます。I think that person was probably really surprised.

怖こわかったと思おもいます。I think they were scared.

カフェでエアドロするのは、もうやめようと思おもいます。I've decided to stop doing AirDrop in cafes.

もうしません。I won't do it anymore.

はい、今日きょうは私わたしが仕事しごとで失敗しっぱいしたことについて話はなしました。Yes, today I talked about a mistake I made at work.
