【iPhone Duoハンズオン】現時点ではまだ微妙……！ 実際に触って感じたコト＆Galaxy Z Fold8との比較など

ちょっと複雑ふくざつな気持きもちでこの動画どうがを撮とっているトパログです。This is Tobarog, filming this video with somewhat mixed feelings.

いや、今回こんかいの動画どうがはですね、じゃあちゃんとiPhoneNo, for this video, well, I'll do an unboxing for iPhone

用ようのまあ開封かいふうとかいろいろまあ比較ひかくしてみる、使つかってみる的てきな動画どうがを撮とっていこうと思おもいます。and compare it, try it out, that kind of video.

なぜ複雑ふくざつな気持きもちなのかっていうと、これは自分じぶんで購入こうにゅうしたものではなくて一応いちおうレビュー用ようの貸かし出だし機きなんですね。The reason I have mixed feelings is that this isn't something I bought myself, it's a review loaner unit.

もちろん自分じぶんでもポチっているんですが、僕ぼくの場合ばあい購入こうにゅうが遅おくれて12月じゅうにがつ到着とうちゃくなんですよ。Of course I ordered one myself too, but in my case the purchase was late so it arrives in December.

で、それでなんかシステムの不具合ふぐあいとかで10月じゅうがつ23日にじゅうさんにちに届とどくってなって、よっしゃ、もうこれ発売日はつばいびにレビューできるじゃん。And then due to some system glitch it said it would arrive on October 23rd, so I thought, yes, I can review it on launch day.

もうGalaxy Z Fold 8と比較ひかくできるじゃんとか思おもってたんですが、それシステムエラーだったみたいでね、まあ12月じゅうにがつに到着とうちゃくっていうところなんですね。I thought I could compare it with the Galaxy Z Fold 8, but that turned out to be a system error, so it's arriving in December.

ですね。Yeah.

で、まあ結構けっこうこの自腹じばらじゃない状態じょうたいで発売日はつばいび近辺きんぺんにね、この貸出かしだしてもらった端末たんまつをレビューするのは、Well, reviewing this loaned device around launch day when I didn't pay for it myself,

なんかちょっと申もうし訳わけないなっていう、もうこれ見みてくれてる人ひとにね申もうし訳わけないなっていう気持きもちが結構けっこうねやっぱあるんですけども、まあトバログでI feel kind of sorry, you know, sorry to you guys watching this, I do really feel that, but here on TobaLog

はこの実際じっさいにね端末たんまつ触さわりに行いったりとか、いろいろまあ折おりたたみ機種きしゅ触さわってきてはいるので、I've actually gone and handled the device in person, and I've touched various foldables and stuff,

まあどうせ誰だれかがやるなら自分じぶんがやろうっていうところでこの動画どうがをそんな複雑ふくざつな気持きもちで撮とっています。so with the mindset that if someone's going to do it, it might as well be me, I'm filming this video with those mixed feelings.

というわけで今回こんかいはこのiPhone Foldの開封かいふう的てきなところとか、まあいろいろねシステム的てきなところだったりアプリの表示ひょうじ言いわれてると思おもうんですけどその辺へんの話はなし。So this time, I'll do an unboxing of this iPhone Fold, and talk about the system side and how apps display, which people are talking about.

価格かかくは日本円にほんえんで36万まん4,800円えんから、The price starts from 364,800 yen in Japan,

一番いちばん高たかいのだと60万まんand the most expensive one is close to 600,000

円えん近ちかいっていう、国内こくないトップクラスじゃないかな、国内こくない現状げんじょう発売はつばいされている現行げんこう機きの中なかでは多分たぶん一番いちばん高たかいyen, which is top class in Japan, I think probably the most expensive among currently sold current models

スマートフォンだと思おもうんですが、いや、いいですね、このフォームファクターというかsmartphone, but no, it's nice, as a physical thing, this form factor,

物ものとしては、このすりガラスのこのサラサラとした触さわり心地ここちと、with this frosted glass smooth touch feel, and

逆ぎゃくにこのフレーム部分ぶぶんはね、光沢こうたく感かんがあるっていうところで、本当ほんとうになんか高級こうきゅう高級こうきゅう文房具ぶんぼうぐとかジュエリー、on the other hand this frame part has a glossy finish, it really feels like luxury stationery or jewelry,

まあバッグ系けいのアクセサリーとかそういう方向性ほうこうせいのラグジュアリー味あじをすごい感かんじます。or bag-type accessories, it has a strong luxury vibe in that direction.

で開ひらくと、お、サラサラとしたこのNanoテクスチャーディスプレイがお出迎でむかえをしてくれていて。And when you open it, oh, this smooth Nano-texture display greets you.

ヒンジ部分ぶぶんもこんな感かんじの光沢こうたく感かんがあり、背面はいめんの素材そざい感かんはこんな感かんじです。The hinge part also has this kind of glossiness, and the back material feels like this.

あ、ここの柔やわらかさとかもAh, the softness here too

カメラは二眼にがんなので、なんか価格かかくほどめちゃくちゃ高たかそうっていう感かんじはしないんだけど、The camera is dual, so it doesn't look insanely expensive for the price, but

デザインのね方向性ほうこうせいについては結構けっこうラグジュアリーめな方向ほうこうですよね。As for the design direction, it's quite on the luxurious side, isn't it.

バングアンドオルフセンとかなんかこういう感かんじのモダンな雰囲気ふんいきとかモダンななんかBang & Olufsen, that kind of modern vibe and modern

建築けんちくとかラグジュアリージュエリー、ポルシェとかもそうなのかな。architecture and luxury jewelry, maybe Porsche too.

そういう方向性ほうこうせいのイメージを感かんじます。I get an image in that direction.

これから実際じっさいいろいろ触さわっていくんですけども、まず簡単かんたんにスペック的てきなところだけ話はなさせてください。I'll actually be trying it out from now on, but first let me just briefly talk about the specs.

こんな感かんじのスペックになっていて、まあチップはね最先端さいせんたんのものなんですが、カメラが二眼にがんになっていたり、まあスペック自体じたいだけでいうとプロシリーズっていうThe specs are like this, well the chip is cutting-edge, but it has dual cameras, and just in terms of specs it's more like the Pro series

よりかはよりかはiPhone Airの折おりたためるみたいなそういう感かんじのイメージの雰囲気ふんいきになってます。rather than that, it's more like a foldable iPhone Air, that kind of image.

外装がいそうのデザインの方向性ほうこうせいも全然ぜんぜん違ちがいますよね。The exterior design direction is also completely different.

で、ちょっとね手てに持もった時ときのファーストインプレッションで言いうと、やっぱりまああの動画どうがの中なかでもお話はなしした通とおり、ちょっと重おもみは感かんじるかなっていうところですね。And, as a first impression when holding it in my hand, as I mentioned in the video, I do feel a bit of weight.

これが去年きょねん発売はつばいされてたらもう最高さいこうじゃんって感かんじなんですが、ちょっと今年ことしのねIf this had been released last year it would have been amazing, but with this year's

位置いちづけだとやっぱ若干じゃっかん重おもたさとかは正直しょうじき感かんじる気きがします。positioning, I honestly feel it's a bit heavy.

僕ぼくが今いま使つかっているGalaxy Z Fold 8とサイズ感かんとかを比較ひかくするとこんなイメージですね。Compared in size to the Galaxy Z Fold 8 I'm currently using, it looks like this.

こっちはねマグセーフのステッカー貼はっちゃってるんで100%正ただしいわけではないんですが、このぐらいのサイズ感かんの違ちがいがあります。This one has a MagSafe sticker on it so it's not 100% accurate, but there's about this much difference in size.

若干じゃっかんiPhoneの方ほうが小ちいさめ、横幅よこはばは若干じゃっかんiPhoneのThe iPhone is slightly smaller, the width is slightly larger on the iPhone

方ほうが大おおきいかなみたいなとわかりづらいかもだけど、薄うすさはだいぶ近ちかい感かんじですかね。maybe, it's hard to tell, but the thinness feels pretty close.

で、ちょっとまだ電源でんげん入いれてないんですけど、表おもてのディスプレイのサイズ。And, I haven't turned it on yet, but the outer display size.

サイズ感かんの違ちがいもこんな感かんじであります。There's this kind of difference in size feel.

より縦たてに短みじかくなった印象いんしょうで開ひらいた状態じょうたいだと、このヒンジがね軽かるいんですよね。It feels shorter vertically, and when opened, this hinge is light.

iPhone Duo、このヒンジの軽かるさが一個いっこいいなと思おもうポイントです。iPhone Duo, I think this light hinge is one good point.

で、内部ないぶディスプレイのサイズ感かんはこんな感かんじの違ちがいがあります。And, the inner display size difference looks like this.

ちょっとあとで電源でんげん入いれても比くらべてみますね。I'll turn it on later and compare them.

で、この場合ばあいちょっとGalaxy Z Fold 8は別途べっとね、このフィルムを貼はっているのでちょっと反射はんしゃが目立めだたない感かんじなんですけど本来ほんらいこっちは光沢こうたくディスプレイです。And, in this case the Galaxy Z Fold 8 has a separate film on it so reflections are less noticeable, but originally this is a glossy display.

でiPhone Duoはまあ非ひ光沢こうたくって感かんじですね。And the iPhone Duo is more like a non-glossy finish.

まあ折おり目め部分ぶぶんはね結構けっこう使つかっていくうちに経年劣化けいねんれっかしていくので一概いちがいには言いえないんですがさすがにiPhone Duoは目立めだちにくい印象いんしょうです。Well the crease part deteriorates over time as you use it so I can't say for sure, but the iPhone Duo definitely looks less noticeable.

で簡易的かんいてきにちょっと重おもさを比較ひかくするとiPhone Duoが253グラム。And for a quick weight comparison, the iPhone Duo is 253 grams.

いや結構けっこう重おもいよな最近さいきんとしては。That's pretty heavy by recent standards.

でこれいろいろフィルムとかまあこういうね。And this has various films and, well, this kind of

こういうねステッカー貼はっちゃっているんでちょっと本体ほんたい本来ほんらいよりは重おもいんですが211グラム、本来ほんらいの重おもさは201グラムで10グラム程度ていどthis kind of sticker on it so it's a bit heavier than the original body at 211 grams, the original weight is 201 grams so about a 10 gram

の差さがあります。difference.

で、重おもさとかでいうとまあPixel 9 Pro Foldはね結構けっこう画面がめんも大おおきいしわりと重おもかったんですがこちらで260〜270グラムか、And in terms of weight, well the Pixel 9 Pro Fold had a fairly large screen and was quite heavy, this one is 260 to 270 grams,

まあガラス保護ほごフィルム貼はっているのでその分ぶんプラスされているんですが大体だいたいこれと重おもさ的てきには結構けっこう近ちかいイメージですかね。well with a glass protective film on it so that's added, but it's roughly quite close in weight.

サイズがギュッとコンパクトになっていることで若干じゃっかん重おもさは感かんじやすくなっている印象いんしょうはあるかなっていうところ。Since the size is packed into a compact form, it feels a bit heavier, I think.

こちらにスピゲンのケースも装着そうちゃくしているんですがスピゲンのケース装着そうちゃくするとまあ235っていうI have a Spigen case on this one, and with the Spigen case on it's about 235

ところで比較的ひかくてきねちょっと重おもさっていう観点かんてんだけでいうとやっぱり重量感じゅうりょうかんはありますね。so just in terms of weight, there is definitely a sense of heft.

まあiPhone Duoにしかない機能きのうっていうのも結構けっこういろいろあるのでその辺へんもまあ紹介しょうかいしておくとiPhone DuoはWell there are quite a few features only on the iPhone Duo, so to introduce some of them, the iPhone Duo

まず重おもさの理由りゆうの一ひとつとしておそらくこれでこれですね。first, as one reason for the weight, probably this, this.

ここ早はやく試ためしてみたいんですけど、このアップルペンシルでI want to try this soon, with this Apple Pencil

メモとかちょっとした手書てがきのイラストができるっていうところがまず一ひとつやっぱ強つよみだと思おもいます。being able to do memos and little handwritten illustrations is one strength, I think.

そのペン分ぶんの層そうが入はいっていることでこれ重おもさが増ましてると思おもうんですが、I think the extra layer for the pen is adding to the weight,

まあ重おもさを取とるかペン対応たいおうを取とるかだと思おもうんですけど、まあペン対応たいおうっていうのはめちゃくちゃいいよね。it's a trade-off between weight and pen support, but pen support is really great.

なんか結構けっこう体感たいかんとしてはこのモレスキンとかのこれちっちゃめのねノートブックにイメージ近ちかいのではと思おもっていてそこそこワクワクしてるポイントなんですけども、The feel is kind of close to a Moleskine, this smaller notebook, I think, and that's a point I'm quite excited about,

まあ例たとえばこれとかねこうやって開ひらくとこんな感かんじじゃないですか。well for example, when you open this it looks like this.

こんな感かんじでちょっとした時ときにこう立たちながらこうやってねメモを取とったりとかなんかLike this, when you want to quickly take notes like this while standing, or

スタバのさちっちゃいあのテーブルとかでこうなんかこう考かんがえ事ごとしたりとかそういうのがね好すきでこのサイズ感かんそういう意味いみで好すきなんですが、ペンが使つかえるってことはiPhone Duothinking things over at a small Starbucks table, I like that, I like this size in that sense, and with pen support the iPhone Duo

も結構けっこう近ちかいような感かんじでメモ帳ちょうになるんじゃないかみたいな。could also be quite close to that, like becoming a notepad.

今いまちょっと実際じっさいこうペンを走はしらせてみた感かんじ、まあヒンジヒンジの部分ぶぶんはちょっとボコっNow I've actually tried running the pen across it, well the hinge, the hinge part feels a bit bumpy

と何なにかしらあるような感かんじがあるんだけど、全然ぜんぜん思おもったほどなんか柔やわらかくない。with something there, but it's not as soft as I expected at all.

結構けっこう硬かたい。It's quite hard.

ちゃんとしっかりめにこうボコっIt does firmly kind of flex in like a dent,

とはなるけど、筆圧ひつあつでこうねなんか文字もじを書かいてるときにボコってなるような感かんじではなく、まあbut it's not like it dents when you're writing with pen pressure, well,

強つよめに押おしたときにあるなっていうヒンジがあるなっていう感かんじがするっていう。it's more like you can feel there's a hinge when you press harder.

意外いがいとこう強つよめに書かいてもねこのナノテクスチャ部分ぶぶんがすごいさらさらなので良よさそう。Surprisingly even if you write with pressure, this nano-texture part is super smooth so it seems good.

これはちょっとねまたアプリが対応たいおうしたら試ためしていくんですけども、I'll try this again once apps support it,

まあそもそもその辺へんだったりこのナノテクスチャコーティングがされているとかまあいくつかの理由りゆうがあって重おもたさはあるのかなっていう感かんじがします。well, partly for that reason and the nano-texture coating and a few other reasons, it feels like there's some weight to it.

おおいやいいですね。Oh, yeah, this is nice.

なんかちょっとこのなんかサイズ感かんというかベゼルが意外いがいと薄うすいんだよな。Somehow this size feeling, or rather the bezels are surprisingly thin.

この感かんじもいいですよね。This feeling is nice too.

でこれで開ひらいてもなんのかな。And what happens if I open it like this.

おお、いややっぱナノディスプレイめっちゃいいわ。Oh, yeah the nano display is really great after all.

反射はんしゃほとんど目立めだたない。Reflections are barely noticeable.

これすごいいいわ。This is really great.

なんかこれがすごい好すきなんですけども、ちょっと色いろ設定せっていだけ完了かんりょうさせちゃいます。I really love this, but let me just finish the color settings.

はいというわけでiPhone用ようデータ移行いこうが完了かんりょうしたので、ちょっとこんな感かんじで触さわってみています。Yes, so the data transfer from my iPhone is complete, so I'm trying it out like this.

まずこれね、何千なんぜん回かい見みたかわかんねえんですが、このこの感かんじね閉とじる時ときのこのFirst, I've seen this I don't know how many thousand times, this feeling when closing, this

エフェクトeffect

これがあってで実際じっさいに今いまはね自分じぶんのアプリを入いれてどんなもんなのかっていうのをちょっとねこうやって試ためすことができる段階だんかいです。It's there, and right now I'm at the stage where I can try out how it is with my own apps installed like this.

で横よこにするとこれで縦ほしいままにするともう本当ほんとうiPadミニみたいな感かんじで使つかうことができます。And when you turn it sideways it's like this, and when vertical you can use it just like an iPad mini.

なんか開ひらくとやっぱ軽かるく感かんじますね。When you open it, it feels light after all.

まあ現時点げんじてんちょっとねアプリの設定せっていとかいろいろ触さわった感かんじだと現時点げんじてんはほぼサードパーティのアプリが対応たいおうしていないこともあって。Well, from touching the app settings and such at this point, at this point almost no third-party apps support it, so.

ちょっと操作性そうさせいというか体験たいけんとしてはすごい微妙びみょうな感かんじです。The operability, or rather the experience, feels pretty underwhelming.

まず閉とじた状態じょうたいだとこんな感かんじですね。First, when closed it looks like this.

まあ普通ふつうにiPhoneWell, just like a normal iPhone,

というかちょっとキウトor rather it feels a bit chunky,

なった感かんじかなって思おもいながらなんですが、まあインスタとかを見みると割わりとまあ普通ふつうというか結構けっこうデカめ厚あつつよこの人ひとbut looking at Instagram it's fairly normal, or rather quite big, thick, strong, this person

とかまあこんなもう表示ひょうじがこういう感かんじで流ながれているイメージで、またまあGoogleのor the display flows like this, and also Google's

アプリもこんな感かんじでちょっとねここのサイドバーが分厚ぶあつすぎて目立めだつ感かんじになりますね。apps look like this, with this sidebar being too thick and standing out.

でこれはちゃんと対応たいおうしてるアプリなんですが、例たとえばChromeは対応たいおうしてないのでなんかもうこの感かんじ。And this is an app that properly supports it, but for example Chrome doesn't support it so it looks like this.

これはちょっとまあアプリのねアップデートなどが来くると思おもうのでApp updates and such should come for this,

まあ改善かいぜんはされると思おもうんですが、ちょっとなんか体験たいけんとしてはチグハグ感かんがあるかなみたいな。so I think it will improve, but the experience feels a bit inconsistent right now.

例たとえばこういうNetflixとかのアプリとかだとしっかりとねこのなんかプラスっぽく。For example, with apps like Netflix, it properly covers it like this, kind of like Plus.

カバーしてくれている感かんじがあるんですけどね。It feels like it's covering it, though.

で、まあノーションとかね、割わりとこの辺へんはシームレスで、この辺へんの気持きもち良よさはさすがのなんかiPhoneだなっていう印象いんしょうはあります。And, well, Notion and such are relatively seamless, and that pleasantness really feels like iPhone as expected.

まあiPhone用ようの購入こうにゅう層そうとかだとやっぱりTwitterとかは欠かかせないと思おもうので、そう考かんがえるとちょっとここは微妙びみょうい感かんじではある。Well, for people buying it for iPhone use, Twitter and such are essential, so thinking about that, this part is a bit iffy.

結構けっこうね、折おりたたみスマホは閉とじた状態じょうたいでも結構けっこう使つかうので、ここの幅はばがこの状態じょうたいとかがずっと続つづくと結構けっこうきついかなみたいな。You use foldable phones quite a lot even when closed, so if this width continues like this, it might be pretty tough.

まあこの辺へんの対応たいおうは順次じゅんじってところですかね。Well, support around here will come gradually.

で、開ひらくと、よいしょ。And when you open it, here we go.

おお、このいろんなアプリでこれが自動じどうでつくのすごいっすね。Oh, it's amazing that this automatically applies in various apps.

なんだろうな、本当ほんとうに多分たぶん純正じゅんせいアプリ以外いがいほぼ対応たいおうしてないんじゃないかな。I wonder, probably almost nothing except stock apps supports it.

基本きほんは。Basically.

例たとえばGoogle Chromeを見みるとなんか違和感いわかんのある線せんが出でてしまったり、ここのメニューバーがね分厚ぶあついから余計よけいFor example, looking at Google Chrome, there's a strange line, and this menu bar is thick so it looks even

変へんな感かんじなんですが、まあヤフーとか開ひらいたらこんな感かんじなんですけど、ちょっとまだこの画面がめんのね。weirder, but if you open Yahoo it looks like this, though it still hasn't fully taken advantage of this screen's

サイズ感かんを生いかしきれてなかったり、size,

まあやっぱ一番いちばん試ためしたいな Kindle とか雑誌ざっしを読よむサービス、これさえ使つかえればもう文句もんくはあまりないんですが、まあ一旦いったんこれです。well, what I most want to try is Kindle or magazine reading services, if those work I have almost no complaints, but for now it's this.

一旦いったんスマホビュー懐なつかしいこの感かんじ、iPad を買かったときに大画面だいがめんで楽たのしむぞってなったら、iPhone OS iPhone のアプリFor now it's the smartphone view, nostalgic, this feeling, like when you bought an iPad to enjoy the big screen, but it only supported iPhone OS iPhone apps,

にしか対応たいおうしてないとき、抱屈とさせる感かんじなんですが、おそらくすぐに対応たいおうされるんじゃないかなと思おもうんですが、このね余白よはくが現時点げんじてんでは目立めだってしまいます。that frustrating feeling, but I think it will probably be supported soon, for now this blank space stands out.

例たとえばね漫画まんがを読よむときだったらこんな感かんじで、For example, when reading manga it looks like this,

まあ普通ふつうのスマホよりは大おおきいかなみたいな、しっかり対応たいおうされたら最高さいこうなんですけど、well, it's bigger than a normal smartphone, it would be the best if it gets proper support,

そして見開みひらきにするとやっぱりねこんな感かんじですね、上下じょうげが切きれてしまうみたいなそういう感かんじになっています。And when you open it up like this, yeah, it ends up like this, with the top and bottom getting cut off kind of thing.

もちろん雑誌ざっしとかも現時点げんじてんではこうですね。Of course, magazines and such look like this at this point.

この辺へんはまあ本当ほんとうに iPhone 12 がもう発売はつばいされる前まえの iPhone としてカウントされているので、しょうがないかなとは思おもう。This part is really counted as a pre-iPhone 12 iPhone, since it's before the iPhone 12 was even released, so I guess it can't be helped.

が使つかえるようになってくるとこの辺へんとかはめっちゃ楽たのしいんじゃないかなこういう感かんじとか本当ほんとうにもう文房具ぶんぼうぐっぽいような雰囲気ふんいきで使つかえるようになったり。become usable, this area will be really fun, you can use it with a real stationery-like feel.
