みなさんこんにちは。Hello everyone.
日本語の森のゆかです。I'm Yuka from Nihongo no Mori.
今日は日本人の文字の書き方についてお話ししたいと思います。Today I'd like to talk about how Japanese people write characters.
真面目な日本人ですが、いつもいつも丁寧に言葉を書いているわけではありません。Serious Japanese people, but they don't always write words politely all the time.
自分だけが見る文章やFor sentences only I will see, or
急いでメモを取るときは、本当の形と少し違った形で文字を書くことがよくあります。when taking notes in a hurry, we often write characters in a slightly different form from the real form.
今日はそれを皆さんにご紹介したいと思います。Today I'd like to introduce that to you.
まずはひらがなですね。First, hiragana.
ひらがなでよく形を変えて書えるものを紹介します。I'll introduce hiragana that are often written with changed shapes.
ちょっと書いてみますね。Let me write a little.
じゃあ、ゆか先生日本語勉強します。Well, Yuka-sensei studies Japanese.
皆さんこれ何かわかりますか?Everyone, do you know what this is?
まあ文章を見ればわかりますよね。Well, you can tell by looking at the sentence, right?
まず一つ目、ゆか先生とですね。First one, Yuka-sensei and, well.
ひらがなの例が「日本語を勉強します」です。The hiragana example is "study Japanese".
すごく急いでいるときはこんな風にととををつくるWhen I'm in a big hurry, I make the "to" like this
つくるって書くだけにしてしまうことがよくあります。I often just end up writing it as just making "tsukuru".
これは私はよく使いますね。I use this a lot.
本当だったら一二をだったら一二三書かないといけないのをNormally for one-two, you'd have to write one-two-three
もうすぐ書けますよね。but you can write it quickly now, right?
すごく時間が短くなります。It saves a lot of time.
私は自分のノートはよくこんな風に書きます。I often write like this in my own notebook.
ひらがなの「と」とひらがなの「つ」ですね。Hiragana "to" and hiragana "tsu", right.
二つ目、漢字です。Second, kanji.
これは書いてみるので何という漢字か当ててください。I'll write this so please guess what kanji it is.
はい。Yes.
門。Gate.
皆さんこれは何という漢字でしょうか。Everyone, what kanji is this?
時間の間、本当はこんな風に、周りに門という漢字がありますね。For time's "aida", actually like this, there's the kanji for gate around it.
でもこの門は書くのがすごくすごく大変ですよね。But this gate is really, really hard to write.
だから日本人はよくこの門の部分をこれだけ、これだけにしてしまいます。So Japanese people often reduce this gate part to just this, just this.
これは本当によく使う使い方ですね。This is a really commonly used way.
他にも聞くとか、あと問うというような漢字は中が耳だったり口が入りますよね。Also, like "kiku" to listen, or "tou" to ask, the inside is ear or mouth, right.
その時もこれが使えます。You can use this then too.
もう一つ漢字でよく使うものがあります。There's one more thing often used in kanji.
ちょっと書いてみますね。Let me write it a bit.
はい、皆さんこれわかりますか。Yes, everyone, do you know this?
これは私が小学生の時に見た時は何が書いてあるか全然わかりませんでした。When I saw this as an elementary school student, I had no idea what was written.
全然わかりませんでした。I had no idea at all.
でもこれは皆さんがよく知っている漢字です。But this is a kanji you all know well.
これの答えは。The answer to this is.
これです。This is it.
前後の前という感じですね。It's the "mae" in "zen-go" before and after.
この前という感じ、好きとこのカタカナのリを書かないといけないんですが、これが大変なので日本人はよくFor this "mae" kanji, you have to write suki and this katakana "ri", but that's hard so Japanese people often
これね、このまだくるくるを書いてしまいます。write this, this still curly thing.
こう何々をする前にこれをしておいてねとか、この前という漢字を使うことって結構ありますよね。Like, before doing something, do this, or we use the kanji "mae" quite a lot, right.
その時にメモにこれが書かれていたら前という意味なので覚えておいてください。When this is written in a memo, it means "mae", so please remember that.
はい、今日は日本人の文字の書き方について少し紹介しました。Yes, today I introduced a little about how Japanese people write characters.
をとそれからもんですね。The "wo-to" and then "mon", right.
『間』と聞くとこれで書きます。When you hear "aida" for "ma", write it like this.
それから前ですね。And before that.
くるくるくるこれだけになります。It just becomes swirl, swirl, swirl, just like this.
一つ注意してほしいんですが、これは真似をしてくださいと言いたいわけではありません。One thing I'd like you to be careful about is, I'm not telling you to copy this.
むしろこういう書き方はしない方がいいと思います。Rather, I think it's better not to write like this.
文字は丁寧に書けば書くほどいいし、丁寧に書くことはこの文字を見る人に対する礼儀です。The more carefully you write characters, the better, and writing carefully is courtesy toward the person who reads them.
だから適当な文字を書くのはあまり良くないと私は思います。So I think writing sloppy characters is not very good.
でも自分がメモをするときとかすごく急いでいるときはとっても便利なので覚えておくといいと思います。But it's very convenient when you're taking notes for yourself or when you're in a big hurry, so I think it's good to remember it.
英語には筆記体みたいなものがありますよね。English has things like cursive, right?
皆さんのお国の文字にはこのように簡単に文字を書く方法がありますか?Does the writing in your country have a way to write characters simply like this?
ぜひコメントで教えてください。Please let me know in the comments.
またね。See you.
