LingoDew collects only the data needed to provide accounts, sync, subscriptions, and your saved words.
What we collect
Without an account, your words, reviews and watch progress stay in your browser or on your device. When you sign in, your email address is managed by Clerk for authentication, and your word states, reviews, playback progress and subscription are stored on our servers so they sync across devices. When you ask for AI explanations without an account, your IP address and a random device ID are used to count the free daily quota. Anonymous watch events are used only to decide whether a video may be deleted after its retention period.
Third parties
Authentication is provided by Clerk. Payments on the website are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record; payments in the apps by the Apple App Store and Google Play. Videos are played from YouTube. Each service processes data under its own privacy policy.
Deleting your account
Deleting your account removes your personal learning data from our servers. Payment records are kept for legal and accounting purposes. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription: cancel a website subscription under Account first, and an App Store or Google Play subscription in the store where you subscribed.
